Dr. Laila Al Samman
Biography
Laila Al Samman is the President of the Syrian Lebanese Business Council, a Lead clients Managing Partner with over
25 years of extensive experience in Financial Advisory and Regulatory Services.
Throughout her distinguished career—including 14 years as Lead Client Service Partner with Deloitte—she has
managed audit, tax advisory, M&A, and business valuations for leading local and multinational corporations across various
sectors. A prominent business leader, Laila serves as the Vice President of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce, a Board
Member in the Syrian Ministry of Finance’s General Commission for Taxes and Fees, and holds board positions in multiple
business councils driving private sector advocacy.
Recognized globally for her leadership, she was named the "Most Visionary Woman in ME achieving global success 2026" by
Gulf Entrepreneurs, “Deloitte ME Best Partner Reward” 2018., Beyond her advisory work with the World Bank Group and
international NGOs on economic recovery, Laila is deeply committed to mentoring women and youth. She is also the
Managing Partner of Consulting & Beyond (Lebanon) and a Partner at Prime Alpha (Dubai).
Laila has Ph.D. in Finance, Master’s degree in Financial Markets, Diploma and Bachelor degree in Business Administration,
and she is a certified public accountant.
